It was fresh and very clean and great value for a single traveler.  As advertised, a real nice gastro bar.  Based on the Inn style making it feel like an English Pub style but with a modern feel

Hotel has recently had major renovation. Top class owner and staff. (Didnt met his wife!). One of the best hotels/ restaurants we have stayed in! Lovely rooms and great (A1) showers and beautiful towels. Amazing selection of ‘goodies’ for breakfast. And BEST of all….. Bottle of fresh milk in the room fridge for your morning cup of tea!

Loved this stay. The character with high ceilings and beautiful furnishings made for a comfortable stay. It was very clean. Loved the breakfast and to have a facility downstairs to watch the rugby and have dinner was fabulous.

Great place, I never slept in a cleaner place in such a price range, breakfast at the bottom of the restaurant and bar for interested guests, shops and beach within a few minutes walk, the kitchen super equipped and also very clean. I really recommend it.

Beautiful space with nice easy going hosts and check in’s. Located in a great spot with tons of restaurants and bars within a few blocks.

Happy to arrive and feel comfortable and welcomed by caring and attentive staff.  Breakfast is all you need and location is perfect and easy to access

Comfortable and convenient to ferry.  The room we were in was very comfortable, the beds great, cosy and the room warm. Check in was easy, shared bathrooms were very clean and not an issue. Close to your rooms. There was a shared kitchen where you could get free continental breakfasts, toast and jam and cereals, tea, coffee etc. Milk and some juice was provided, also bottles of water. Well looked after.

The Prospect’s central location, restaurant and friendly staff make it a great place to stay.  The location is very central and was ideal for our purpose for being in Auckland. The restaurant staff and the meal was fantastic. The cleaner was also very friendly and facilities kept clean. The bathroom facilities, bedrooms and kitchen were exceptional.

Bereavement short stay.  The owner was very accommodating when it came to our situation. I needed somewhere for my adult children and grandchild to stay while attending my Fathers funeral. They went over and above to ensure everything was comfortable. We all spent dinner together in the kitchen/dinning area, which was very clean and had all the necessary utensils for cooking and meal to suit 5 adults and 1 child. The permanent residents were also very welcoming. Will definitely stay again next time we are in Howick.

Right on the doorstep of everything Howick has to over, you would be hard-pressed to find anywhere better to stay. The room was comfortable and I slept really well. The shared bathroom and toilet facilities were cleaned daily, leaving the place spotless to perfection.

We had a great stay thank you. We met up with a bunch of friends who live out Howick way and then played some pool afterwards at the back of the Prospect. Your team were lovely, and the facilities very clean – the kitchen/communal area/bathrooms were absolutely spotless which was really nice to see as that’s often not the case in places with shared facilities. We were thankful for the fan in the room as it was super muggy/hot.  But thanks again, it was a great location to stay somewhere different for a change 😊

Comfy and Convenient Stay in Howick. Lovely walk through by the manager who was super friendly. Location was close to the shops/restaurants and above a bar/restaurant, so convenient for all those needs. Free parking not far from the property. Very clean bathrooms/toilets. Really nice room. I didn’t have the continental breakfast but my aunty was impressed by what was provided.

We loved our stay at the Prospect!!! Will definitely stay there again. Walking through the door was like walking into the past. The room was spotless and clean. Updated facilities. The staff were dry accommodating. There is NOTHING not to love about this hotel.

Location was great. Staff super friendly. Everything very clean and tidy. Exactly what we needed for a one night stay. Also great shared areas: lounge, kitchen etc.

Brilliant! Very practical. I stayed at three places and both the more expensive ones were disappointing and without anywhere to put your clothes. In a small room at the Prospect I had lots of cupboard space, a fridge and a kettle. I organised myself perfectly for a week. The standards are extremely high. Shared bathrooms, but kept spotless.

This was a very clean and well supplied accommodation provider during our extended stay in Howick. As we had a rental car, parking was important and off-street parking was available. The in-unit fridge provided welcoming options, and daily breakfast items were available in the communal fridge. An excellent range of cooking options were available on-site. Probably the best shared facilities location we encountered in Auckland!
